SCP Stages Disney's THE LION KING, JR.

This month Southgate Community Players Young People's Theatre will bring Disney's The Lion King Jr. to the Corner Playhouse stage. Take a trip to the African savannah in this classic Disney tale. Follow the adventurous tale of Simba, a young lion cub, whose destiny to become king puts him in imminent danger due to his Uncle Scar's jealous desire for the throne. Watch the trials and tribulations Simba faces as he is banished, and forced to spend his years growing into adulthood away from his home and family. Will Simba let his uncle destroy the Pridelands, or will he fight to take back his place as king? Come see the show and find out!

The objectives of the Southgate Community Players are to study and promote community theater, to encourage talent and to afford the membership opportunities to work with and in dramatic productions. Also to help foster cultural interests in this organization and the community and to always maintain high standards of entertainment.
