Pontiac Theatre IV to Present Timeless Courtroom Drama 12 ANGRY JURORS

By:

Pontiac Theatre IV will present its third show of the 2016-2017 season, 12 Angry Jurors. Directed by McKinley Shaw (Waterford), this classic variation of 12 Angry Men will run at the Michigan School for the Arts from March 24th through April 1st, 2017.

Originally written by Reginald Rose for a CBS Studio One television anthology series, 12 Angry Men was adapted into a stage play and Academy Award-nominated motion picture that has been acclaimed as one of the best courtroom movies of all time. A gripping, penetrating, and engrossing examination of a diverse group of twelve jurors who are uncomfortably brought together to deliberate after hearing the 'facts' in a seemingly open-and-shut murder trial concerning a 19-year-old man from the slums, 12 Angry Jurors is as relevant a social commentary as ever.

Tickets are $12 per person, $10 for students and seniors. Tickets are available online at facebook.com/pontiactheatreiv and will also be available at the door. Group rates available upon inquiry.

Pontiac Theatre IV began as a summer venture in 1969 with what was then the Pontiac Parks and Recreation Department (now Community and Human Services) of the City of Pontiac. Over the years we have enjoyed the support of local business and industry, the Pontiac schools, and the City of Pontiac, which still provides space for storage and rehearsals. As a community theatre, the group welcomes the participation of all interested people.
