MotorCity Casino Hotel is proud to announce Robert Cray and Shemekia Copeland, live in concert at Sound Board on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 8:00 pm.
Robert Cray is a blues guitarist and vocalist. His blend of soul vocals and blues guitar work have won approval from the 'old guard' as well as a younger audience. Robert Is a five-time Grammy Award winner and many of his releases have achieved platinum record certification.
Shemekia Copeland, a blues vocalist, began pursuing her singing career at the age of 16. Her second album earned her three Blues Music Awards. Shemekia recently won "Rising Star - Blues Artist" in DownBeat magazine's critics poll.
