Two young explorers, who one day decide to venture into a forbidden attic, stumble across a long- forgotten trunk tucked away in a dark back corner. The trunk, the explorers soon realize, is filled with stories and mysteries that have long been lost to the world. Stories from Italy, like the Rainbow Goblins, Germany, with King Grisly Bear, and Denmark, with Osgood and the Dragon come to life on stage as energetic puppets tell their tales.
Madcap Puppets, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has been nationally recognized for its children's productions since its inception in 1981. Madcap became the recipient of the Scripps Corbett Award for Excellence for their artistic contributions to the Greater Cincinnati area in 2009 and they continue to share their stories worldwide through their innovative production style.
Both performances will be preceded by a free iCAN interactive educational activity, provided by Wharton Center's Inner Circle. These will take place one hour before each Act One Family Series performance.
