Mad Cow Theatre presents Lorca's YERMA in Spanish

In February, Mad Cow Theatre will present two readings of Federico García Lorca's Yerma as part of its Teatro Español program. Read in its original Spanish langauge, Yerma will be performed February 7 & 8, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12, available at MadCowTheatre.com or 407-297-8788.

The cast for these readings includes Alina Alcantara (Maria), Anahilda Garcia (Dolores), Ibis Enid Rodríguez (Yerma), Edwin Ocasio (Juan), Armando J. Urdaneta (Victor), Tiki Hagan Noriega (Cuñada), Paola Andrea Diaz (Cunada), Aixa Mendez (Vieja), and Lisa Morales (Mujer) . The readings are directed by Eliana Stratico.

Stratico said, "We are thrilled to bring to the community Yerma, a classic play by Federico Garcia Lorca. After presenting Blood Wedding and The House of Bernarda Alba, this reading of Yerma will bring to the community the opportunity to enjoy another masterpiece by one of the best Hispanic authors of all time, and in original language. ?Garcia Lorca offers this tragedy of love and motherhood in which his words serve as a mirror for the human soul."
