Go Comedy! Improv Theater is now taking registration for its second term of fall classes at the Go U! Improv Academy. Registration ($200) is available by calling (248) 327-0575, online at www.gocomedy.net, or on the first day of class at Go Comedy! Improv Theatre, 261 E. Nine Mile Rd, Ferndale MI 48220.

Go U! The Improv Academy
has been training students in the art of improvisation since November 2008. This term of classes will mark the first full semester to take advantage of the academy's new training center location just steps away from the Go Comedy! Improv Theater at 243 E. Nine Mile Road. This space allows Go Comedy! the ability to create a more flexible schedule for students and teachers, and an exciting step forward in Go Comedy!'s continued success in metro Detroit.
The upcoming fall semester at Go U!
begins Monday, October 12 and offers two levels of improv training. Tuition is $200 and classes continue for eight weeks with a performance slated for mid-December.

Go Comedy! Improv Theater

Improv Academy is located at 243 E Nine Mile Road also in Ferndale, MI. Go U! Improv Academy Fall-2 Class Schedules

INTRO TO IMPROV
Intro 1: Welcome to Improv ($200)
Every improv education starts somewhere - yours starts here. Learn the fundamentals of improvisation, basic games, scene work and skills. Get used to being on stage and working with others in safe, supportive environment.

Two class times are available:
Mondays 7pm (Begins October 12) Teacher: Suzie Jacokes
Saturdays 3-6pm (Begins October 17) Teacher: Pj Jacokes

Intro 2: Improv Tools ($200)
Intro 201 picks up where 101 leaves off, taking the concepts covered and looking deeper into them. This class looks at the tricks, tips and tools of improv and incorporates them into a variety of games.

Two class times are available:
Wednesdays 7-10pm (Begins October 14) Teacher: Bryan Lark
Sundays 12-3pm (Begins October 18) Teacher: Bryan Lark

ADVANCED IMPROV
Advance Improv requires previous improv education.
Interested students should contact Go Comedy! for more information on taking intro or advance classes.

Advance 1: Scene Work ($200)
Shake the cobwebs off of your improv or reinvent your approach. Learn the GoU! improv philosophy and be free of the "rules" of improv. This class will focus on how you create a scene, work with a partner and keep an audience interested.

Two class times are available:

Advance 2: Improv Games ($200)
Games are the bread and butter of every improvisers diet and can be seen at Go Comedy! every weekend. Learn all about improv games from the classics to challenging new games, you'll even learn a few of Go Comedy!'s signature games.
