Universal Motown Records Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter-producer KEM has confirmed headlining dates for his 2011 U.S. "Intimacy" tour, with special guests El DeBarge and Ledisi. The tour takes its name from the title of KEM's critically acclaimed latest album, Intimacy, and will make stops at concert halls throughout North America, including Detroit's Fox Theatre on Friday, March 25 at 8 p.m.

A galvanizing live performer, who commands the stage with his soulful vocal ability and captivating stage presence, KEM promises to deliver a standout live experience not to be missed. In addition to revisiting popular classics such as "Love Calls" and "I Can't Stop Loving You," the Detroit native will also showcase new favorites from Intimacy, including the powerful lead single "Why Would You Stay," which is nominated for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, airing on February 13, 2011 at 8 pm ET/PT on CBS.

Named one of 2011's "8 Great Grammy Nominees" by Entertainment Weekly, KEM released his third album, Intimacy, in August 2010. The album debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart and quickly soared to No. 1 on iTunes' Top R&B Albums chart, No. 2 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, No. 6 on iTunes' Top Albums Chart, and No. 8 on Billboard's Digital Albums chart.

The first two singles from Intimacy have saturated urban AC airwaves at radio: "Share My Life" is currently ranked in the top 10 of the Mediabase Urban AC chart and is destined to become a wedding anthem for generations to come, while "Why Would You Stay" is holding steady on Billboard's Heatseekers Songs chart and on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "Why Would You Stay" also hit No. 1 on the Mediabase Urban AC chart for six weeks and was No. 1 on Billboard's Adult R&B chart for three weeks.

Tickets ($39.50, $49.50, $59.50 and $88) go on sale Friday, Feb. 4 at noon and may be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com.
