On Monday, March 29, a limited number of on-stage seating tickets will be available for sale for every performance of Spring Awakening. The Tony Award®-winning musical is playing at Detroit's Fisher Theatre from April 20 to May 9, 2010. The on-stage seats give theatre goers a different perspective of the show, allowing them to experience the performance taking place all around them.
On-stage seats are priced at $25 and are available for purchase in-person only at the Fisher Theatre box office, located at 3011 W. Grand Blvd., in Detroit. Box office hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please call for weekend hours as the box office is closed if there are no weekend events. For the safety of the patrons and the performers, on-stage ticket holders will be asked to adhere to the special seating procedures that will be provided to them at the time of purchase.Set against the backdrop of a repressive and provincial late 19th century Germany, Spring Awakening tells the timeless story of teenage self-discovery and budding sexuality as seen through the eyes of three teenagers.
