Broadway's Comedy DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN Comes to City Theatre for a Limited Run, Now thru 11/24

Caveman's "outrageously funny and surprisingly sweet exploration of the gender gap" (Chicago Sun Times) has made it "a comic phenomenon" (New York Times) that has won the hearts of millions in more than 35 countries and is sure to win yours.

Written by comedian Rob Becker, over a three year period that included an informal study of psychology, sociology, and prehistory,Defending the Caveman is full of wonderful scenarios that celebrate the differences between men and women, making it the perfect entertainment option for couples, or a girls night out.

Defending the Caveman will be performed by Kevin Burke. Since 2003, Burke has been starring in the Broadway tour of Defending the Caveman to critical acclaim. A native of Chicago, Burke has been featured on Oprah, The CBS Morning News, NPR's Talk of the Nation,The Dr. Laura Berman Show on XM Satellite Radio, NBC-TV's Friday Night and ABC-TV's America's Funniest People; which awarded Burke its grand prize.

Burke is also one of the founding actors of the famed Improv Olympics, and has starred in stage productions of Man of La Mancha, West Side Story, Gemini, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Guys & Dolls, The Underpants, Whose Life is it Anyway?, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and A Midsummer Night's Dream under the direction of David Swann of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Burke's own solo play Born to Goof debuted at the Phoenix Theater in Indianapolis, and was the hit of the 2001 Chicago Comedy Festival.
