By: May. 02, 2011

Broadway Grand Rapids invites you to the 2011 fundraiser event: From Galway to Broadway on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 6-10pm at the Peter Martin Wege Theatre located at 341 Ellsworth Street SW (home of the Grand Rapids Ballet Company). A Broadway themed strolling dinner, cocktails and afterglow with performers will be provided as well as valet parking and a silent auction of unique items and experiences. Recommended attire is ties & heels for the evening's festivities. Reserved seating is now on sale to the public and is $150 per person or $250 per couple through the Broadway Grand Rapids box office at 616-235-6285. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible. All funds raised from the silent auction and ticket proceeds benefit Broadway Grand Rapids to continue bringing high-quality Broadway tours to West Michigan.

From Galway to Broadway will feature a performance of Broadway showstoppers and timeless classics of the Emerald Isle, as Broadway stars Ciarán Sheehan and Kimilee Bryant breathe magic into some of the world's most beloved music. Accompanied by a violin and piano, Ciarán, a true Irish tenor, and Kimilee, a gorgeous soprano, will bring their first-hand experiences from the Great White Way into our hometown featuring songs and anecdotes from the upcoming 2011-2012 Broadway Grand Rapids season.

Ciarán SHEEHAN

A Dublin-born tenor and star of Broadway's Les Misérables and Phantom of the Opera (1,000 performances) - Ciarán has been seen in the nationally televised PBS hit The Irish...and how they got that way, From Galway to Broadway, and Ciarán and Friends.

KIMILEE BRYANT

American actress, singer and former Miss South Carolina. Bryant is best known for playing the role of Christine Daae in the Broadway and other productions of The

Phantom of the Opera, and later the role of Carlotta.
