Bay City Players Presents ACT ONE

Bay City Players will present ACT ONE, by James Lapine, from the autobiography by Moss Hart, January 27 - 29 & February 3 - 5, 2017 at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City. Performance times are 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. ACT ONE is directed by Michael Wisniewski.

ACT ONE is the story of Moss Hart's first big break into show business. Who is Moss Hart, you ask? He's the guy who won a Pulitzer Prize for writing YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU. (We did that comedy a year or so ago.) He co-wrote hit after hit comedy for Broadway. He won an Oscar nomination for writing the movie GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENT. And by the way, he won a Tony Award for directing MY FAIR LADY on Broadway-our last show of this season! But this is a look at Moss as the insecure Jewish young man with his quirky, funny family and hectic friends, as he makes that first move through the door of opportunity straight into success!! Funny, touching, and a beautiful look at an immigrant family and the American dream.
