Bay City Players Announces Auditions for THE FANTASTICKS, 9/10
Bay City Players will hold auditions for its upcoming musical production, THE FANTASTICKS. Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones, Music by Harvey Schmidt, on Friday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 11th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Callback Only: Sunday, September 12th at 1:00 p.m.
Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City.
Performance dates November 11-14 and 18-21, 2010
Directed by Fran Martinez and Musical Direction by Kunio Ouellette.
The director is looking for 8 Roles:
Vocal roles for 5 men of varying ages
1 woman age 15-25 high soprano necessary
2 other characters to be determined
THE PLOT: How do you get the kids to do what you want? Tell them not to, of course. THE FANTASTICKS is just that-fantastic -a backyard Romeo and Juliet! The longest running musical in New York history, THE FANTASTICKS is rich with wonderful music, charming comedy, and slyly sweet characters. This musical is a show for the family to share. A joy for everyone by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones.
Auditions are open to the public and newcomers are welcome. Those auditioning will be asked to sing, dance and read selections from the script.
