Bay City Players, Michigan's oldest continuously operating community theater, will hold auditions for its upcoming production, Messiah on the Frigidaire, by John Culbertson, on November 9 and 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Directed by Joanne Berry. Auditions will be held at Bay City Players.

Performance dates are January 15-17 and 21-24, 2010. Director, Joanne Berry is looking for: 3 Women (ages 30's through early 40's), 4 Men (ages 30's through 50's), and 1 nine year old boy.

THE PLOT: What is it about southern country folk that becomes so humorous? Sure not everyone keeps the refrigerator on the front porch, but not everyone has a front porch. How can someone see the face of the Madonna in a grilled cheese sandwich and sell it on E-Bay? I don't know how it happens, but it does. And when the Messiah on the Frigidaire meets modern-day marketing, anything goes. This will be a great way to smile your way through the cold nights of winter.

Those auditioning will be asked to read selections from the script. Limited scripts are available for check-out from the theatre office Monday - Friday from 9am to 1pm for a $10 refundable deposit. Please contact the office Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm at (989) 893-5555 for more information, or visit our website at www.baycityplayers.com.

This show contains some adult themes. Bay City Players is located at 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City. Bay City Players is a volunteer-based community theater dedicated to providing high quality theatrical experiences for the entertainment, education, and enrichment of the community.
