RED is a dance-theater piece that deconstructs and reinterprets the story of Ruby Bridges, whose parents heeded the NAACP’s call for children to desegregate elementary schools in the South. Bridges later became the subject of Norman Rockwell’s painting, The Problem We all Live With.
