Van Wezel Presents DAVE KOZ & FRIENDS 11/28
Dave Koz & FRIENDS are celebrating the joys of the season with A Smooth Jazz Christmas 2010. Koz's 13th anniversary holiday tour will hit the Van Wezel on Sunday November 28, at 7 p.m.
If you missed him on Desperate Housewives you can catch him in the flesh at the Van Wezel. This year, Sarasota favorite Dave Koz will be joined by South African singer/guitarist Jonathan Butler, keyboardist Brian Culbertson and smokin' hot Dutch saxophone star Candy Dulfer.
This will be Koz's first tour with Dulfer-- a sensational alto saxophonist who has played with the likes of Prince, Aretha Franklin and Lionel Richie and has appeared on The Tonight Show, Good Morning America and Saturday Night Live. Fan favorites Butler and Culbertson are back by popular demand. The tour has become a cherished tradition, especially for Sarasota as this 13th anniversary marks Koz's 8th Van Wezel appearance. The foursome will perform hits from their respective catalogues and join together on a variety of holiday standards for a high-energy, soul-inspiring show the whole family will love. Koz, who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has released three classic holiday albums -December Makes Me Feel This Way, A Smooth Jazz Christmas By Dave Koz & Friends, and Memories of a Winter's Night.
Ticket prices range from $30 to $65. For more information and to buy tickets, contact the Van Wezel Box office at
(941) 953-3368 or log onto www.vanwezel.org. This show is sponsored by Hyatt Regency Sarasota.
