Dear Reader,
As of the 5 PM Advisory, it looks like Fay could be bad storm or a category one or two hurricane.
The latest info tells us that this may be mostly a west coast of Florida event.
However, veteran Floridians know, these storms are unpredictable and often veer out of their expected cone of impact.
The entire state is under an emergency alert, via proclamation of our governor.
As of 7 PM on Sunday, August 17, there is a mandatory evacuation of visitors to the Florida Keys and schools are closed in Broward and Miami Dade counties on Monday. There is no word on Tuesday as yet.
Also, thus far, every show scheduled to take place indoors in Florida is still scheduled to go on. It is imperative that you stay in touch with the weather situation.
Anyone with tickets for any show must phone before you go. In the past, regardless of storm intensity, there have been performances called off. PHONE the theater to make sure your performance has not been shuttered by Fay.
Stay safe and weather the storm well.
