The Waterfront Playhouse Presents 'Randy Thompson And The Stars of Aqua Idol'

By:

The Waterfront Playhouse presents "Randy Thompson and the Stars of Aqua Idol", a one-night-only concert on Thursday, January 13th at 8 pm. Please note this is a date change from originally being scheduled on January 14th. The concert will be a power-house evening of music featuring the contestants who vied to become the winner of the Waterfront's recent Aqua Idol competition. The after party is sponsored by Bunnie Smith and Jack Paul, with catering by Teresa Wright.

The concert will feature the inimitable Randy Thompson as the emcee extraordinaire, host of all the Aqua Idol competitions that are held for non-profits at Aqua Nightclub. The evening will be a line-up of "the best of" numbers performed by the contestants, including the winner of the Waterfront's Aqua Idol, Michael McCabe. Also appearing will be Amy Ray, Traci Reynolds, Bill Heller, Gayla Morgan, Valerie Carr, James Warren, Yoa Dragun, Tim Dahms, Victor Lopez and Maj Johnson, who was the previous A.I. winner for the WFPH. Also appearing will be Chris Tanner and a few surprises.

The roster of singers for the Waterfront's competition of Aqua Idol was noted for their across-the-board excellence. Each week large crowds would gather at Aqua Nightclub to support their favorites and to be entertained by a stellar talent. Over $12,000 was raised for the WFPH during the contest and became the "thing to do" over the early summer months. Now the concert will highlight this terrific group of singers.

Again, please note that the date has now been moved to January 13th. The change is due to City approval for ESPN's "Friday Night Fights" in Mallory Square for January 14th. All Platinum Season Subscribers and ticket holders have been transferred to the 13th. If you have questions, please call the box office at 305-294-5015.

Tickets may be purchased by calling the box office or by going to their internet ticketing service at www.waterfrontplayhouse.org.  Please be advised that only about 40 tickets remain.
