The Main Street Players Present

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

The Main Street Players announced its final show of the 2011 season, the heartwarming and funny musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, coming to the Main Street Playhouse at 6766 Main Street in Miami Lakes, Florida, from September 30th, 2011, through October 16th, 2011.

For the past sixty years, Charles Schulz's iconic characters - Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Sally, Schroeder, and of course Snoopy - have captivated and delighted both children and adults with their poignant, truthful, and joyful antics. Celebrating sixty years of the Peanuts gang and forty years since Clark Gesnero adapted Schulz's characters for the stage, the Main Street Players bring the gang to life on their stage once more.

The musical tells the story of one day in the life of our favorite round-headed kid, Charlie Brown, played by Derek Quesada, as he struggles through book reports, kite flying, baseball games, and of course that cute little red-headed girl. But the story couldn't be complete without the Peanuts gang's resident crabby queen, Lucy, played by Lexi Gaeta, and her blanket-wielding brother Linus, played by Michael Mena. And we obviously can't forget Beethoven-fan Schroeder, played by Patrick Rodriguez, or Charlie Brown's little sister Sally, played by Yaizelle Balarin. Finishing out the cast as Charlie Brown's best friend and everyone's favorite beagle is Nori Tecosky as Snoopy.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown will delight children and adults alike, bringing us back to a time when our backyard was as big as the entire world, and when happiness was found in the everyday things around us. Join the Main Street Players as they revisit Schulz's timeless characters through song, dance, and friendship.

The production is directed by James Carrey, and the music is directed by Manny Schvartzman. Sasha Pimental is the stage manager, and John Olivera is the producer. Performances will be at 8:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 5:00 pm on Sundays, with a special 3:00 pm performance on Saturday, October 15th.Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for students and seniors, and special group rates are available.
