Marty Allen, the unforgettable brillo-haired partner of the famed comedy duo Allen & Rossi, remains one of the most versatile performers in show business. His trademark greeting, "Hello Dere," is known and imitated by fans throughout the world.
Allen got his start in the 1950s, working as an opening act for stars like Eydie Gorme and Nat King Cole. It was during this time that he met Steve Rossi, and formed what was to become one of the most successful comedy teams of all time.
Allen & Rossi released a string of hit comedy albums, made dozens of television appearances - including over 40 on the Ed Sullivan Show alone - and produced the motion picture "The Last of the Secret Agents." Allen's multi-decade solo career has included everything from Broadway performances to serious television roles and guest appearances on game shows and made-for-television movies.
Together with his wife and partner, Karon Kate Blackwell, Allen performs year-round on cruise ships and the Las Vegas strip. The duo will present an evening filled with fun and music at the Lyric.
