Miami's New Beachfront Festival Rapture Electronic Music Festival to Debut During Miami Music Week

Introducing Rapture Electronic Music Festival, Miami's new beachfront festival for discerning dance music fans and tastemakers looking for an alternative Miami Music Week experience minutes from South Beach and Downtown Miami. Making its debut with a special one-day event on Thursday, March 23, 2017, Rapture will feature some of the most respected artists in techno and house music today, including andhim, Art Department, Carl Craig, Ellen Allien, RPR Soundsystem, plus a wide depth and breadth of talent for Phase 1.

Set on an idyllic beach and protected environmental oasis in Historic Virginia Key Beach Park complete with four sound stages powered by L-Acoustic Systems and private beach access, Rapture brings fans a new Miami Music Week adventure apart from the typical South Beach nightclub and pool party scene. Festival goers will revel in a magical experience being able to dance, swim and party on the beach while listening to quality underground music in a natural oasis setting from 12pm-2am.

The newly announced artists for the Phase 1 lineup include: Steve Lawler, Ellen Allien and Fur Coat who will helm the Rapture Main Stage. Global party brand Flying Circus will be hosting a stage powered by Secret Garden's elaborate decor and immersive experience with Detroit techno pioneer Carl Craig, Art Department, Audiofly, Matthew Dear and Francesca Lombardo. The UN_MUTE Stage will feature the minimal sounds of techno with highly sought-after Romanian trio RPR Soundsystem (Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Raresh), tINI and more. The Castaway Stage will represent the progressive side of house with Argentinean legend Hernan Cattaneo, a highly anticipated Way Out West reunion with Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff, and Guy J.

Historic Virginia Key Beach Park is located on an island just 15 minutes from Downtown Miami and is accessible from the mainland via the Rickenbacker Causeway. With a mile-long beach facing the Atlantic and decorated with natural mangroves, it is the perfect natural outdoor Miami setting to spend the day soaking up rays and dancing with friends into the night. Completing the full festival experience will be a selection of the best epicurean food trucks alongside a vendor pop-up village, and a floating lounge enjoying spectacular oceanfront views. Attendees will be able to get energized at an organic juice bar, receive blissful body massages, and rejuvenate with Ayurveda therapy and much more.
