Miami City Ballet Appoints Julii Oh From New York Philharmonic As New Chief Marketing Officer Image Miami City Ballet today announced the appointment of Julii Oh as the new Chief Marketing Officer, joining one of the nation's premier ballet companies this summer. Oh, who led marketing at the New York Philharmonic for 14 years, is a seasoned arts administrator with deep knowledge of the visual and performing arts industry.

She will lead all aspects of marketing, public relations, communications, and patron services for Miami City Ballet, Miami City Ballet School and the multiple education and community outreach programs.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Oh will be responsible for driving ticket sales and public engagement, as well as implementing strategy that will enhance ballet's influence on the community and Miami City Ballet's national and international prestige. She will work closely with Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez and other executive leadership to build on the organization's vision for continued success and artistic excellence.

"We're excited to welcome Julii Oh and her dynamic experience in the arts to Miami City Ballet," said Kristi Jernigan, MCB Board of Trustees Chair. "Her notable achievements as a marketing and communications executive will be invaluable to Miami City Ballet's ongoing growth as a leading cultural institution."

Oh brings more than 20 years of marketing, audience development and customer experience to the company. As Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at the New York Philharmonic, she achieved record-breaking sales, led an organizational rebranding and the development of a transformative digital marketing strategy. She is credited with orchestrating multiple successful turnaround strategies, increasing customer engagement, decreasing attendee average age by 10 years, and elevating the overall customer journey through online and offline touchpoints, among other successes.

Prior to her role at the New York Philharmonic, Oh established her own marketing consulting firm, Oh! Marketing. She provided clients with marketing consultation and creative solutions focused on client acquisition and relations, product positioning, creative marketing, web development and video production, following a six-year marketing career at several renowned record labels.

She has directed and managed marketing and communications programs for organizations such as Epic Records Group/Sony Music Entertainment, INC., Edel Records AG/R.E.D. Distribution and Wind-Up Records.

"I'm thrilled and honored to be joining Miami City Ballet and its leadership team during what is a transformative period for the organization," said Oh. "Under Lourdes Lopez, the company is performing at the highest caliber. When I saw the Ballet for the first time, one of the things that struck me as a point of differentiation is the sheer diversity of the dancers. It's incredibly refreshing and inspiring as I found a unique sense of energy and vibrancy that translates on stage. This is a company that reflects the values of its community and part of our role is to explore how we can translate this into a deeper, more meaningful relationship with our audiences and further enliven passion and love for ballet here in Florida and beyond. So I'm excited and committed to taking on creative explorations, elevating customer experience and driving data-driven strategies ahead and in collaboration with Kristi, Lourdes and the whole management team."

Julii Oh has a B.S. in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and was part of a Co-op Work Program with UniSys and IBM.
