The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Conservatory of Performing Arts is presenting three upcoming workshops for those serious about pursuing a performance career.

The courses, for working actors and aspiring performers, will include audition workshops and a business workshop that includes a professional headshot.

"This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn from seasoned professionals from Florida and Broadway," said Julie Rowe, Director of Education for the Conservatory. "It is workshops like these that make having a professional theatre with a conservatory so important for our community."

Here's a look at the Conservatory's upcoming workshops:

Monday evenings, September 27 - December 13 - The Audition Science Seminar: Finding a Cure for Unemployment in "The Biz"
The Audition Science Seminar is designed to remove the mystery of the audition process for working actors. Taught by Carbonell Award-winning director and actor Kenneth Kay, the 12-week workshop will focus on finding and choosing proper audition material, headshots and resumes, audition etiquette, methods of following up and monologue preparation and critique.

Workshop will take place Mondays, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Cost is $360 for the 12-week period ($15 per hour); Actors who are paid-up members of SAG/AEA/AFTRA may receive an additional 10 percent discount.

Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3 - Build Your Audition Book
Build Your Audition Book is designed for any young performer who has ever wished they had new material to sing, but didn't know what it should be or where to get it. Each student in this workshop will have the opportunity to perfect their existing material and learn to enhance their performance, and will leave with at least one brand new piece of music. Broadway veterans Jodie Langel and Kim Douglas Steiner will give each student hand-picked audition material specific to their "type" and personality, and will aim to give each student a better understanding of the audition process.

Workshop will take place Saturday, Oct. 2, and Sunday, Oct. 3, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cost: $125 for one day, or $200 for two days.

Friday, October 15, and Saturday, October 16 - The Business of the Business Workshop
The Business of the Business Workshop will offer advice and tips from two Broadway stars on pursuing a career in New York City in this two-day seminar that includes a professional, audition-ready headshot. The workshop will be led by the owners of Gotham Headshots: Broadway veterans Jacqueline Bayne and Jason Gillman. Bayne has numerous Broadway and national tour credits, and Gillman - in addition to acting - has more than a decade of experience as a professional photographer in New York City.

Workshop will take place Friday, Oct. 15, and Saturday, Oct. 16. Cost: $249 for the two-day seminar.

Advance reservations required, and space is limited. To register or for more information about any of the courses, call (561) 575-2672.
