Lee Roy Reams To Direct Susan Anton At The Wick In JERRY'S GIRLS

The Wick Theatre is proud to present a dazzling homage to one of the most prolific and talented composers of our time, Jerry Herman. Renowned for shows such as Hello, Dolly!, Mame, Mack and Mabel and La Cage Aux Folles, Herman has created an array of iconic feme powerhouse characters. In Jerry's Girls, The Wick celebrates the composer's classic productions and honors the 40-plus female stars who have appeared in his musicals over the years. The show is directed by Broadway great Lee Roy Reams and features internationally acclaimed star Susan Anton along with Klea Blackhurst, Julie Kavanaugh and Lauren Sprague. Jerry's Girls will showcase a live band and will be choreographed by Emily Tarallo. Acclaimed Broadway star, Lee Roy Reams is honored to once again return to The Wick after his triumphant performances in both La Cage and Hello, Dolly! Reams performance as Dolly Levi drew national acclaim and added yet another major accomplishment to his celebrated career.

Susan Anton burst on the scene snagging a Golden Globe nod for her first film outing in 1979's, Goldengirl. She went on to star in her own musical-variety show on NBC and graced the Great White Way in Tommy Tune's Tony Award-winning musical, The Will Rogers Follies. She worked with director Mike Nichols in David Rabe's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Hurlyburly and starred for seven years in the The Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular with the legendary The Radio City Rockettes. She also toured in the Neil Simon/Marvin Hamlisch production of They're Playing Our Song and then went on to co-star with Elizabeth Ashley in the national tour of A Couple of White Chicks Sitting Around Talking. Throughout her prolific career has shared the stage with many legendary entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Tom Jones, and many more.

Klea Blackhurst is best known for her award-winning tribute to Ethel Merman, Everything the Traffic Will Allow. She recently starred Off-Broadway opposite Hayley Mills in Party Face and played the title role in the world premiere production of Hazel at Drury Lane in Chicago. Julie Kavanaugh has toured in La Cage Aux Folles and starred in regional productions of Guys and Dolls, The Drowsy Chaperone, Newsies and more. Lauren Sprague has toured in Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz and La Cage aux Folles and has performed at many major regional theatre houses across the country.
