Key West Auditions For Waterfront's Platinum Season

The Waterfront Playhouse announced auditions for their 2009/10 season, which will mark the Waterfront's 70^th, Platinum season.

The auditions will be held on Sunday, May 10^th, 2 to 5 pm in the theater. Artistic director, Danny Weathers, will be seeing people for next season's production of "Twelve Angry Men," the musical, "The Full Monty" and "BitchSlap!" Casting for these shows may not be finalized until the fall, but the hope is to cast some of the roles from these auditions and possibly for future productions.

Those who wish to audition for "Twelve Angry Men" (the cast is 13 men) will be asked to read a short scene. The scenes or sides can be picked up Thursday to Saturday at the box office, 1:30 until 8:00 pm. You may also perform a short monologue if you have one prepared.      

Those wishing to audition for "The Full Monty" (approximately 10 male and 7 female roles) are asked to prepare a song that shows off your voice and you are comfortable performing. Strong singers are needed and accompaniment will be provided.  There have been no casting commitments.

Danny and Christopher Peterson will also be auditioning for the role of Joan Crawford in next year's reprise of the smash hit "BitchSlap!" between 5 and 6 on May 10^th. Both women and men will be seen for the role of Joan. Scenes and sides will also be available at the box office during the hours listed above.
