Start Your New Year With Just The Funny
JUST THE FUNNY, Miami's Home for Improv and Sketch Comedy, will be performing a special goodbye to 2008 hello to 2009 set of shows called Wasssup 2009! on Saturday, January 10, at 9 pm and 11 pm, at The Just the Funny Theatre & Training Center located at 3119 Coral Way in Miami. The 9 pm shows are family-friendly, all-ages shows, and the 11 pm shows are anything goes.
Wasssup 2009! says "Good riddance!" to 2008 and "Wasssup!" to 2009. It's a night of laughs as improvisers create scenes and games that are all based on audience suggestions. Wondering if you'll be able to keep your New Year's resolution? Bring that resolution to the show and the outstanding cast will show you how it will turn out.
"We thought it would be fun to re-cap all the fun that 2008 had to offer, and what better way then by getting our audience involved and making it a truly interactive experience, through getting their 2009 resolutions, and having some fun with them!" director Luis David Madera explains.
Tickets for the Wasssup 2009! Show are $10 for the 9 pm shows and $5 for the 11 pm shows or $12 for both the 9 and 11 pm shows, and can be purchased at www.justthefunny.com or at the theatre.
