Jazz At MOCA To Celebrate Haitian Heritage Month With Singer LaVie

By: May. 08, 2018

Jazz At MOCA To Celebrate Haitian Heritage Month With Singer LaVie ImageThe Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA) is celebrating Haitian Heritage Month with a special performance by singer LaVie as a part of its monthly "Jazz at MOCA" series. LaVie's music breaks through the barriers of traditional gospel by harmonizing her sensational collaboration of Soul, R&B, and Neo-Soul musical styles.

LaVie exemplifies her name, which means the "the life" in French, in her music with her energetic stage performances and her infectious personality. LaVie uses her eclectic contemporary sound as a vehicle to encourage and empower her audience to enjoy life.

The public is invited to dance under the stars and enjoy the diverse rhythms of LaVie, rain or shine. Guests may also enjoy MOCA's exhibition "Monarchs: Brown and Native Contemporary Artists in the Path of the Butterfly" by donation.

Friday, May 25, 2018 at 8 p.m.. Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA), 770 NE 125th Street, Miami, FL 33161. This event is free and open to the public.
