FLCT Presents Katie Couric's BRAND NEW KID Musical, 6/29 & 6/30
FLCT Presents City Theatre and Orlando Rep's Production of THE BRAND NEW KID, adapted from the children's book by Katie Couric, Friday, June 29 at 7pm, and Saturday, June 30 at 11am and 2pm at the FLCT Studio Theatre at the Galleria Mall in Ft. Lauderdale, 2542B East Sunrise Blvd.
THE BRAND NEW KID is a kid's musical about being different and overcoming teasing through the power of friendship and acceptance.
Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre, Inc.(FLCT), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is an educational center for theatre arts serving children and families across South Florida. The oldest documented children's theatre in the state of Florida, FLCT was founded in 1952 by two mothers in a garage and was later incorporated in 1959. The theatre quickly grew to be the first cultural organization in Broward County to purchase its own building and the first to perform at Parker Playhouse, the Broward County Main Library Theatre and Dillard Center for the Arts. FLCT remains one of the few theatres in the nation whose performances use students as actors, assistant directors, backstage crew and technicians.
