City Theatre and Island City Stage are proud to present Shorts Gone Wild 4: Decision 2016 from August 4 - 28, 2016 at Island City Stage in Wilton Manors. This all-new production marks the fourth season of South Florida's hottest LGBT-themed short play festival that returns just in time to explore the wild political theatre that is Election 2016.

Conceived and created by Island City Stage Artistic Director Andy Rogow and City Theatre Director John Manzelli, Shorts Gone Wild takes six actors, seven playwrights, five directors and a design team, and whips them up into seven short, provocative, funny and thoroughly entertaining plays that are relevant to the LGBT and Progressive communities. Shorts Gone Wild 4: Decision 2016 will feature a funny, edgy and politically-themed selection of brand new, never performed ten-minute plays penned by nationally recognized playwrights (many of whom are local to South Florida) that are guaranteed to be "YUGE!"

The 2016 Play Line-Up Includes:

Lips Like Crocus by Stuart Meltzer

Seth and James are at a rocky patch in their relationship. Renowned couples therapist Dr. Lydia Clayton will stop at nothing to get to the root of the problem, only to find that Seth has a secret, startling and politically motivated infatuation. You'll never look at cable news the same way again.

Things My Grandfather Taught Me by Michael McKeever

Robbie and Meredith are BFFs. Their respective partners are not. Far left liberalism collides with Log Cabin logic over cheese platters and snappy cocktails, as a pleasant dinner date turns into all-out war.

The Lie by Michael Leeds

A country western star and her husband, a congressman, rail against the ageism that is sidelining them until they come up with a radical solution with the help of their friend. What if they told the pop culture vultures that they were coming out of the closet?

Jenny & Simone by Christopher Demos-Brown

Love at first sight...almost.

Bernie Singles Dot Com by Jessica Farr

Bernie Singles Dot Com brings us into a bleak, dystopian future where the internet community of disenfranchised Bernie Sanders supporters scour a wasteland of disappointment, searching to possibly settle on a mate that may suffice for the next 4 to 8 years.

The Incident in the Bathroom by Michael Aman

Ernie considers himself to be a liberal and open minded straight man. But when he gets cruised in a public bathroom, he starts to wonder if he's homophobic.

Be The Change by Susan J. Westfall

Joe and Sandy discover that political change means their Friday Date Night will never be the same!
