Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Announces Fred Rogers Family Series Not on 2010-2011 Schedule

By: Jul. 15, 2010

The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park announces that the Fred Rogers Family Series will not be scheduled on its 2010-2011 Season. For the 2010-2011 Season, the Society has developed a partnership with the quartet Brooklyn Rider, A Gift for Music, and Orange County Public Schools to create a unique music residency, bringing high-quality classical music to nearly 700 young music students this year. Brooklyn Rider is well known for its collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma on his Silk Road Project.

The Society remains committed to education through the sponsoring of a variety of educational and community outreach programs designed to encourage youth participation in music at all levels and to provide access to constituencies with special needs.

The Bach Festival Society celebrated its 75th Annual Festival in 2010. Located in Winter Park, Florida, it is one of the longest continuously operating Bach Festivals in the country and among America's great oratorio societies. The Bach Festival Society brings the highest caliber of classical music to Central Florida. Performances are held in the intimate settings of Tiedtke Concert Hall and Knowles Memorial Chapel on the beautiful campus of Rollins College.

For more information regarding the upcoming season or to order tickets, please call the Bach Festival Society at 407.646.2182 or visit online at www.bachfestivalflorida.org.
