The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park is pleased to announce the addition of GRAMMY award-winning clarinetist Richard Stoltzman to the 75th annual Bach Festival. Mr. Stoltzman will perform Mozart's Clarinet Concerto with the Bach Festival Orchestra on Saturday, February 27, 2010, on the Festival's Mendelssohn and Mozart program. "Richard Stoltzman is a world-class artist and one that the Society has been interested in hosting for a long time. We are so pleased that he will be able to join us for our historic 75th anniversary celebration," said Artistic Director and Conductor John Sinclair.

The Society has a lean operating budget for the 2009-2010 season and has worked hard to maintain its quality programming while being fiscally conservative. With a combination of goodwill, generous donors, and hard work, the Bach Festival is able to present this award-winning artist on its 75th annual Bach Festival in 2010. "In our current economic climate, artists and agents alike understand the financial strain cultural organizations are facing and have been generous in their willingness to work with our organization to put together a season appropriate for this anniversary year," said Executive Director Betsy Gwinn.

The Bach Festival Society, located in Winter Park, Florida, is one of the longest continuously operating Bach Festivals in the country and among America's great oratorio societies. The Bach Festival Society brings the highest caliber of classical music to Central Florida. Performances are held in the intimate settings of Tiedtke Concert Hall and Knowles Memorial Chapel on the beautiful campus of Rollins College.
