Arts Garage Presents Double Divas-September 24 and 25

This weekend Arts Garage in Delray will host two diverse concerts, both of which will feature Divas of the first order.

On Saturday, September 24th at 8:00 p.m. acclaimed vocalist Debbie Orta and the Debbie Orta Jazz Group will bring their own distinctive sound, style and incredible energy to the Arts Garage in a concert highlighting Orta's mastery of the art of Jazz.  

And on Sunday, September 25th at 7:30 p.m. dazzling female illusionists/impersonators Ricky Rollick, Melissa St. John and Roxi DeVine will return to Arts Garage for an encore performance of Divas in Art. Last month's show sold out beyond capacity.

Debbie Orta, who will be joined by bassist (and spouse) Grammy nominee Nicky Orta, and Grammy nominee Mike Orta, has appeared in numerous concerts and clubs in South Florida. She has toured the world with Jose Luis Rodriguez and Chayanne as a backup singer. In 2007 she founded the Debbie Orta Jazz Group. Stu Grant, of WXEL FM proclaimed that "Debbie Orta is one of the finest jazz vocalists in South Florida - just a fantastic voice, and I've listened to many! She is accompanied by a world-class group of musicians - you don't want to miss this" Orta will perform a terrific jazz repertoire from the Great American Songbook in Swing, Brazilian, and Latin jazz arrangements, as well as some jazz/funk, effortlessly flexing her range and feel in these varied rhythms.(Tickets: $25 preferred seating, $20 general admission, and $25 at the door.)

Ricky Rollick Klimas, Melissa St. John and Roxi DeVine have all been entertaining diverse audiences throughout Florida and the United States for many years. Individually, each of them has established themselves as talented, passionate, caring and unique personalities, capable of almost any form of entertainment.Together they are a divine combination of fashion, flair, fine artistry, and fun. (Tickets: $15)

As always, audiences are encouraged to BYOW (Bring Your Own Whatever), to enjoy during performances.
