David Zwirner is pleased to participate in this year's ZONA MACO Mexico Arte Contemporaneo (Booth A213), to be held at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City from Wednesday, April 6 through Sunday, April 10.

For this year's fair, the gallery will present a selection of works by its artists, including Adel Abdessemed, Francis Alÿs, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Marcel Dzama, Dan Flavin, Suzan Frecon, Donald Judd, On Kawara, Chris Ofili, Raymond Pettibon, Jason Rhoades, Michael Riedel, Christopher Williams, Yan Pei-Ming, and Lisa Yuskavage.

On view will be a significant presentation of both paintings and works on paper by Mexico City-based artist, Francis Alÿs, whose work is the subject of a major traveling exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York opening in May; fashion photographs by Philip-Lorca diCorcia; new dioramas by Marcel Dzama, plus a selection of two-part drawings made especially for this fair; a two-panel oil painting by Suzan Frecon; a large-scale painting by Chris Ofili from 1998; recent drawings by Raymond Pettibon; a series of new small-scale poster paintings by Michael Riedel, who just had a sold-out exhibition at the gallery; and Skunt, a 2005 wire shelf work by Jason Rhoades.

Minimalist works will also be on view, including an untitled anodized aluminum wall-mounted box by Donald Judd from 1991; untitled (to Piet Mondrian), a 1985 work by Dan Flavin in red, yellow, and blue fluorescent light; and Cordella (1988-1992), a dark green plank by John McCracken, whose work is currently the subject of a retrospective at Castello di Rivoli, Turin.

This is the fourth time the gallery has been part of ZONA MACO, and past years include 2004, 2006, and 2007. In 2011, David Zwirner participated in the ADAA: The Art Show in New York (March) with a solo presentation of the work of Alice Neel. The gallery will also participate in the Hong Kong International Art Fair (May 26-29) for the first time, in addition to Art Basel (June 15-19); Frieze Art Fair in London (October 13-16); FIAC in Paris (October 20-23); Abu Dhabi Art (November 16-19); and Art Basel Miami Beach (December 1-4).

About David Zwirner
David Zwirner (davidzwirner.com) is a contemporary art gallery active in both the primary and secondary markets. Since opening its doors in 1993, it has presented innovative, singular, and pioneering exhibitions across a variety of media and genres. The gallery has helped foster the careers of some of the most influential artists working today, and has maintained long-term representation of a wide-ranging, international roster. The gallery's relocation from SoHo to West 19th Street in New York's Chelsea district in 2002 and its expansion into three main gallery spaces in 2006 has allowed multiple full-scale exhibitions to be mounted simultaneously.

In the secondary market, the gallery has become known for presenting historically researched exhibitions and publications devoted to the work of modern and contemporary artists. Recent highlights have included Dan Flavin: Series and Progressions (2009), an ambitious exhibition held at all three gallery spaces; Edward Kienholz: Roxys, which presented a seminal installation by the artist; and Primary Atmospheres: Works from California 1960-1970, a critically-acclaimed survey of West Coast Minimalism (both 2010).

In October 2010, the gallery was proud to announce its exclusive representation of Judd Foundation (juddfoundation.org). The gallery will present its first exhibition of Donald Judd's work from May 5 to June 25, 2011.
