The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's ANYTHING GOES, the new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece, will make its Memphis premiere tonight, February 26th-March 3rd at The Orpheum Theatre as part of the 2012-2013 Broadway Series.

A Chorus Line, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize award-winning musical about Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line opens March 8, 2013, at Theatre Memphis with a gala event featuring the original A Chorus Line cast member and Tony Award winner for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, Donna McKechnie. The event is being held on opening night and will feature a cocktail buffet, live auction that includes a trip to New York City and a pre-show presentation by Ms. McKechnie with drinks and desserts with the cast after the show. Member tickets are available for $75 per person and non-member tickets are $100 each. Reservations can be made by calling 901.682.8323. The full production runs through March 30, 2012.

Chatterbox Audio Theater, Memphis's only web-based theater company, has announced the release of its latest production, OEDIPUS THE KING, ACT II. This intense, audio-only version of the quintessential Greek tragedy features a wide variety of Memphis talent. Act II (of three) runs approximately 36 minutes and is now available for free streaming and download through iTunes and www.chatterboxtheater.org.

The MidSouth premier of A Steady Rain by Keith Huff will run at Theatre Memphis in the Next Stage February 15 - March 3, 2013. A gritty drama with epic consequences, the show follows two policemen who are best friends but who are very different and who must come to grips with what happens to them during the course of duty and the investigation that follows. Bearing the responsibility for their egregious failure to assess a situation accurately leads to a tragedy that threatens to rip them apart and destroy the boundaries of their relationship. The show features two actors, John Maness and John Moore, and is directed by Jerry Chipman.

The popular show Altar Boyz now playing through January 20, 2013, at Theatre Memphis in the Next Stage is adding a late night 11:30pm show tonight, January 19 to accommodate the show's popularity. The show, dubbed 'Midnight Mass' also will replace the previously scheduled show for January 17 which has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.

Six Degrees of Separation, a New York Drama Critics' Circle Best Play Winner by John Guare, will open at Theatre Memphis January 25, 2013, and run through February 10, 2013, on the Lohrey Stage. The plot surrounds a wounded young man who cons his way into the home of an upscale art dealer and his wife by claiming he is a friend of their son. The lie is exposed when he abuses their generosity and he then plots another scam that includes his claim of being a part of their family. There are tumultuous and deadly results as the mother seeks resolution and as she aches to protect her family and to find her connection to the world.

In response to overwhelming fan demand, Leonard Cohen's acclaimed "Old Ideas World Tour" has just added a second North American leg. After enchanting audiences worldwide, the legendary singer/songwriter/poet culminated the first series of North American dates with breathtaking engagements at New York's Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center on December 18th & 20th - and fans were left wanting more. The new round of dates will begin at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA on March 2nd, and will include encore performances in New York City and Chicago; as well as dates in Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Winnipeg, and more. The tour will also visit a number of cities where Cohen will be performing for the very first time, including New Orleans, Memphis and Louisville.
