Tennessee Shakespeare Company, the Mid-South's professional, classical theatre and education organization, is offering two unique, immersive Shakespeare Play Camps to be held at the Poplar Pike Playhouse at Germantown High School this June. Camps are open to students entering Grades 6-12.

The Orpheum Theatre announced its much-anticipated 2013 Summer Movie Series on May 1. This year's series, presented for a second year by Orion Federal Credit Union, will commemorate the theatre's 85th Anniversary with the best-loved films of the past eight decades. The series will run from June to August at the Orpheum Theatre.

Brighton Beach Memoirs opens at Theatre Memphis on the Lohrey Stage April 26, 2013 with Irene Crist returning to direct the Neil Simon coming of age comedy. The plot focuses on a semi-autobiographical story featuring Eugene Morris Jerome, a Polish-Jewish American teenager, who experiences the turmoil of his family dynamics, his sexual awakening and his search for his identity. Having to deal with his older brother and female cousins who move into his home, the family situations prove to be material that is tender and funny. The original Broadway production was the winner of the New Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play.

The partnership has been formed to provide students the best theatrical experience in Williamson County. Playhouse on the Square announces the Four Seasons Cocktail Series - a set of free happy-hour events to coincide with the changing of the seasons. On each equinox and solstice, the theatre will host a cocktail party in honor of a different non-profit organization. Guests are invited to learn about the organization being honored while enjoying light hors d'oeuvres and a signature cocktail created just for the event. The parties are from 5:30pm - 6:30pm and will be held in a different location inside Playhouse on the Square on each date. Donations are accepted during the party and will benefit the non-profit being honored.
