BLACK VIOLIN Returns to the Orpheum Theatre Tonight

By:

Black Violin returns to the Orpheum Theatre tonight, February 28th at 6:30 PM. Virtuoso violinists Kev and Wil B will inspire audiences once again as they prove that their hearts are as big and soulful as their sound.

Presented by the Orpheum Theatre's Family Series, Black Violin is back to raise the roof sky-high with a funky fusion of classical, jazz, hip-hop, blues and R&B. Joining Kev and Wil B are DJ TK on the turntables, Beatdown on Drums and Joe Cello on Cello. Black Violin composes a concert of booming new beats, classic favorites, and cool pop covers. With superstars Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Akon, Diddy and Linkin Park singing their praises, Black Violin smashes musical stereotypes and will enthrall fans of both Bach and Beyoncé. Black Violin is recommended for all ages.

Tickets prices range from $15 to $20 and are available for purchase online at the official Orpheum Theatre website, www.orpheum-memphis.com, The Orpheum Box Office (901.525.3000), the ticket counter at The Booksellers at Laurelwood, and all Ticketmaster centers (901.743.ARTS). Special group rates are also available by contacting Lindsay Krosnes at 901.529.4244 or krosnes@orpheum-memphis.com.

The Orpheum's 2013-2014 Family Series is made possible by the following generous sponsors: AutoZone, International Paper, Kemmons Wilson Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, South Arts, Target, and Tennessee Arts Commission.
