After a wait of almost 4 years, Malaysian fans will soon see the return of timeless veteran singer George Lam Chi Cheung to Malaysia to perform his brand new solo concert.
The concert, organized by Star Planet, will be staged at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands on 11 January 2013 at 8:30pm. Malaysia will be the first touring country of Lam’s new tour series.
At 65, Lam is still a bundle of energy and charisma. His concert needs no fancy footwork or flashy fashion but is always about creative music arrangements and power-packed vocals that truly mesmerizes. And this new world tour which marks Lam’s 35 years in music career will essentially focus on his golden hits.
George Lam, one of Hong Kong's most rcognizable singer-cum-composers, has with him powerful and robust vocal. His ability to often enrapture fans with fast and tougue-twisting hits made him a singer of unique character. His rich and wide vocal range is equally adept at crooning sentimental songs that can resonate in one' s heart for a long time.
Lam started his singing career back in 1976 and had his first live music concert held in Hong Kong in 1981. He has released over 30 albums, including Cantonese and English albums. He has won numerous music awards and is to date a well respected singer in the Cantopop musis scene.
