In Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines the timeless myth of Orpheus and Eurydice through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost life. Filled with contemporary characters, playful theatricality and rich visual language, Eurydice is a funny, fantastical and ultimately heartbreaking exploration of love, loss and the impossible business of saying goodbye.

Directed by Ghafir Akbar, this vibrant new production stars Vinna Law as Eurydice who returns to the Malaysian stage from London, alongside the formidable trio of Jo Kukathas, Anne James and Sukania Venugopal forming the deliciously mischievous chorus of the Underworld. Rounding out the versatile cast are acclaimed stage veterans Gavin Yap and Terence Swampillai, with rising new talent Tinesh Janaki Raman as Orpheus.
