CONCIERTO FLAMENCO Comes to Damansara Performing Arts Centre

Damansara Performing Arts Centre presents CONCIERTO FLAMENCO on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m.

Flamenco is the most well-known quintessential Spanish dance. It is the product of centuries of historical and cultural interaction between Romani people originating from India, Northern African music and a multicultural Spain. The flamenco dance is also symbolized by energy and passion.

In this performance, Maria Carrasco ("Flamenco Dance Queen") will condense the traditional flamenco essence into eight pieces and combine the freedom of contemporary dance to present a brand new art work. CONCIERTO FLAMENCO will present a fusion of power, passion, depth, art, feeling, music, and magic with a new style of dance combined with the essence of Flamenco.
