Portland Ovations Brings Vertical Dance Pioneers' BANDLOOP to Downtown Portland

Portland Ovations takes to the air to kick off its' 87th season by presenting the pioneering vertical dance company, BANDALOOP for two free, public performances September 28th and 29th. Bandaloop's company of dancers will perform, suspended in midair, using the sides of the Westin Portland Harborview Hotel and One City Center as their stage/s. The Westin Portland Harborview performance is scheduled for 12pm on Thursday September 28 and the One City Center performance is scheduled for 5pm on Friday, September 29.
BANDALOOP seamlessly weaves dynamic physicality, intricate choreography and the art of climbing to turn the dance floor on its side. Founded by choreographer and artistic director Amelia Rudolph, BANDALOOP's indoor/outdoor work has been presented in theaters and museums, on skyscrapers, bridges, billboards and historical sites, in atriums and convention halls, in nature on cliffs, and on screen.
