Penobscot Theatre Company's Dramatic Academy to Hold Open House

Penobscot Theatre Company's Dramatic Academy has some amazing programs starting soon and we're having an Open House to show them off!

Join us for our Open House on January 9 between 5:30 and 7:30pm. Bring your questions, your suggestions and your family to meet our teaching artists and see our theatre! Snacks will be provided.

First up is our after school program starting on January 10. Students ages 4-15 take classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:30-4:30 for ages 4-6 and 4:30-5:30 for ages 7-15) culminating in a performance of The Neverending Story! All students get a role and learn acting fundamentals as well as rehearsing the show.

Improv II begins on January 11! This class is for adults and teens with some improv experience and is taught by Jen Shepard, co-owner of ImprovAcadia and one of the best improv teachers around. Classes are Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm.

Ever wanted to be onstage? Adults and teens are encouraged to sign up for Bari Newport's Audition Boot Camp master class on January 21 from 10am to 12:30pm. This class is a remarkable chance to learn from Penobscot Theatre Company's own Artistic Director!
