Eric Kunze and Kathy Voytko will join Good Theater for their annual Broadway at Good Theater concerts November 29 - December 3 at Good Theater's home, the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, Portland. This year the concerts will be a tribute to the 1950s - the height of the Golden Age of Broadway.

Mr. Kunze made his Broadway debut as Marius in Les Miserables. His other Broadway credits include Chris in Miss Saigon and Joe Hardy in Damn Yankees opposite Jerry Lewis. He has toured as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and is currently playing Prince Eric in the national tour of The Little Mermaid. He created the role of Bruce, the father, in the Manila production of Fun Home opposite Lea Solanga. For the Good Theater event he will perform "Maria" from West Side Story, "On the Street Where You Live" from M. Fair Lady and a duet of "A Man Doesn't Know" from Damn Yankees with his co-star Kathy Voytko.

Ms. Voytko was seen on Broadway in the Tony Award winning A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Her other Broadway credits include: Tuck Everlasting, Next to Normal, The Pirate Queen, The Frogs, Nine and Oklahoma. She played Eva Peron in the last national tour of Evita, and was Christine on the national tour of The Phantom of the Opera. She was seen two summers ago at Maine State Music Theatre in their production of Chamberlain. In addition to her duet with Eric Kunze, she will perform "Hello Young Lovers" from The King and I, "Somebody Somewhere" from The Most Happy Fella and "If You Hadn't" from Two On the Aisle.

They will join another special guest, Daniel Patrick Smith who wowed last year's audiences. He returns to deliver "Ya Got Trouble" from The Music Man and a beautiful Rodgers and Hammerstein song, "The Man I Used to Be" from the little known Pipe Dream.

Local cast members include: Glenn Anderson, Marissa Brown, Hannah Daly, Madeline Fitzgerald, Jim Gaddis, Laura Houck, John Lanham, Steve Leighton, Conor Riordan Martin, Lynne McGhee, Jen Means, Halim Moldaver, and Shannon Thurston.

Brian P. Allen is the director/creator of the concerts. "I love Broadway, and I particularly love the musicals of the 1950s. There will be many songs our audiences will know, but I've also found some rare or forgotten gems that are sure to delight audiences." This concert has been more than a year in the making.

Victoria Stubbs is the musical director and arranger for the concerts. She has created two giant holiday medleys to include music of the season as part of the festivities. Vicky leads a three piece band for the concerts.

In addition to the songs and shows listed above, some of the shows highlighted in the concerts include: Bells Are Ringing, Peter Pan, Take Me Along, Oh Captain, Wonderful Town, Flower Drum Song, The Sound of Music, Paint Your Wagon, and many others.
