At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned heroes and the Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless, and alluring, their electrifying story of love, adventure and crime captured the excited attention of an entire country. Now, the most notorious couple of the twentieth century takes on a whole new adventure on stage and shows us all there is no choice: You Love Who You Love.

Director Nate C. Groonwald says, "Bonnie & Clyde is a story about two young kids who fell madly in love, and didn't care what anyone thought - which everyone can relate to. It's a smoldering love story that will resonate with everyone, especially those who have been told they can't do something. Shannon Straka and Bryan Noll are forces to be reckoned with in this production and the combination of Straka and Noll is a match made in theatrical heaven. They ignite the stage with their talent."

The production team for Bonnie & Clyde also includes Nate C. Groonwald, scenic design; Breanne Brennan, lighting and sound design; Heather Patterson, costume design; Austin Kopsa, properties design; Scott Sowinski, wig design; and James Sevens, stage manager.

Shannon Straka has performed in three of The Arrowhead Broadway Company's musical productions, as well as three Lake Country Theater productions to critical acclaim (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive Ostrowsky), I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Woman 2) and most recently Legally Blonde (Elle Woods). Shannon recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently a second grade teacher at a Milwaukee Public School, and could not be happier to be spending her summer vacation playing the role of "Bonnie Parker" at the Lake Country Playhouse.

Bryan Noll is thrilled to be a part of the Bonnie & Clyde cast. This is his fifth show on the LCP stage. He received critical acclaim for his portrayal of "Emmett Forrest" in Legally Blonde last summer. He is a former Arrowhead student and Broadway Company member. Bryan hasn't done many shows since high school until recently but couldn't be happier to be back on stage.

Nate C. Groonwald is proud to make return to the Lake Country Playhouse after previously directing the critically acclaimed Legally Blonde and assistant directing The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Other Lake Country Playhouse credits include: An Evening of Music, Broadway Done Backwards, and the audience favorite That's Entertainment! A Tribute to the Hollywood Golden Age. Regional performance credits include: We Wish: The Roles We'll NEVER Get to Play (Davenport's Piano Bar, Chicago, IL). Brigadoon and Music In The Air (Music By The Lake, Lake Geneva, WI), Legally Blonde (Devonshire Playhouse, Skokie, IL), The Mikado and Candide (CCPA, Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL).
