Home Decor is a plea for peace and the joy of living.
For piece Development Home Sweet Home to international dancers, actors and musicians grapple with stories of people who had to leave their home. The content of the piece is formed while in close cooperation with young people and adults of different origins.
In Home Sweet Home we encounter therefore people who had to leave their homes and now find themselves in a foreign country. Flashbacks they always lead back to the past; in childhood, the old home and the experienced travel. Experiences in the destination country and memories of the country of origin draw a complex picture about the dignity and survival instincts of these people with their wishes, concerns, dreams and fears. The Framework Programme of the piece forms a mixed choir composed of locals and asylum seekers.
Home Sweet Home is the first part of the wide side project, a comprehensive artistic and educational project around the themes homeland, escape and strangers.
The project will be continued with a workshop presentation of young people, "Hello, Goodbye, Come back" on 06.20.2016 in the Rotonden, premiere of a piece with youth and professional artists in the fall 2016th
