In the dominant liberal thought, free trade is the best tool to develop individual. Not only free trade benefits society, but it also brings cultures. Entrepreneurship familiar with what is foreign.

Oscar Van Rompay - actor troupe NTGent - is one of those entrepreneurs. Africa. Besides his acting life in Belgium, Oscar has a second life in Kenya where he manages a plantation of trees. He spends half the year in Europe and the other half in Africa. Actor, he has already been round to turn Muslim terrorist, financial analyst, child, farmer, murderer ... In dramatic monologue autobiographical Africa, he plays his toughest role himself. A Western entrepreneur in Kenya, a white man who strives to be one with his fellow blacks.

Africa is a play about the dark side of liberal thought. By extrapolation, Africa is a universal human being who tries to find his place in a society that is foreign to him, torn between desire and anxiety story, hoping to meet the love ideal. Africa can also be read otherwise. The director, Peter Verhelst, takes the audience on an illusion, illusion to dismantle later in front of the same audience.
