It was announced Wednesday, April 28, that Shadowbox Cabaret's original musical, BACK TO THE GARDEN has officially become the company's most successful musical. Currently in its second extension, the show has grossed more than double its closest comparison, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, which ran originally in the fall of 2006 and was revived in the summer of 2007.  THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW was performed for a total of 1,771 patrons and made $52,346. BACK TO THE GARDEN has been seen by 3,866 people and grossed $133,434 so far. There are still six performances left, before it closes on May 23rd.

"We knew that there was a possibility of extending the original run last fall, but we had no idea it would take off like this", said Julie Klein, Director of Marketing. "Even now, we have patrons requesting more performances. We're considering reopening it later this year, but haven't made any decisions yet."

Experience the story of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair with Shadowbox's original musical documentary: BACK TO THE GARDEN. With original scenes mixed with quotes from the key performers and songs from the concert itself, Back to the Garden takes you back to the summer of 1969; a turbulent, magical place and time where, for just a moment, half a million people came together in peace, for the love of music.

BACK TO THE GARDEN has three more scheduled performance dates on May 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 2:30 & 7:00 PM.  Tickets are $30 / $20 for students, seniors, and active military. For reservations contact the Shadowbox Box Office at 614-416-ROCK (7625) or go online to www.shadowboxcabaret.com. BACK TO THE GARDEN is presented is association with Revolution Sports and Entertainment and is sponsored by Clear Channel Outdoor, Courtyard Marriott Columbus Airport location, Outlook, QFM, and The Other Paper.
