Rutter's Gloria and Kirchner's Behold New Joy Choir Concerts at Church of the Brethren

Come hear music that leaps off the page! Come hear John Rutter’s evergreen classic, Gloria, appropriately paired with Behold New Joy: Ancient Carols of Christmas, a suite of medieval carols revived by celebrated composer, Shawn Kirchner. Director Niké St. Clair leads the fifty-voice choir accompanied with a brass ensemble with timpani, percussion and Kirchner at the organ. Other Kirchner carols round out the program.  Performances are December 14 and 21 at 4 pm at 2425 E Street in La Verne, California in the La Verne Church of the Brethren’s elegant sanctuary decked out in greens and poinsettias. Parking is limited. Doors open at 3:30 to the church’s elegant sanctuary.  No admission fee, but to continue bringing you inspiring holiday productions like this in the future, please consider a $20 or more donation collected at intermission. Following each performance, stay for our Cookies in the Courtyard reception and meet the performers.
