Theatre West in Hollywood presents a staged reading of Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, directed by Louis Fantasia. Laura James leads the cast in the title role, joined by Tim Realbuto as The Cook and four-time Emmy Award winner Nigel Lythgoe as The Recruiting Officer/Colonel Poldy/Old Peasant. The children of the title are played by Xander Toti, David Baer, and Emily Fabretti, with additional cast members including David Shofner, Maegan McConnell, and others. The production is directed by Fantasia, who has directed more than 150 plays and operas worldwide.
