(mostly)musicals to Open 3rd Season with SONGS FOR A NEW YEAR at E Spot Lounge

(mostly)musicals returns to the E Spot Lounge on Monday, January 4 with songsforanewYEAR, the company's 15th entry in a series of themed cabarets. "We can't wait to get 2016 - and the 3rd season of (mostly)musicals - off to a *happy* start. There are no sad songs allowed at this show!" explains producer amy francis schott.

(mostly)musicals asks: Why should you give in to the post-holiday doldrums? We'll keep the festive sparkle going with an evening of fun and uplifting songs by writers including Irving Berlin, Randy Newman, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, Jeanine Tesori, Cy Coleman, Jerome Kern, Jerry Herman, and more!

You will be delighted by stellar talent including: Sharon McNight (B'way: STARMITES), Jeffrey Polk (B'way: FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE), Rhett George (B'way: MEMPHIS, WICKED, AIDA), Emily Clark (SLIGHTLY DRAMATIC), Will Collyer (Pasadena Playhouse: BREAKING THROUGH), Devyn Rush (AMERICAN IDOL), Kelley Dorney (FIRST DATE at La Mirada), Alex Mohajer, Randi Cee (film: THE MUPPET MOVIE, LEGALLY BLONDE), David Crane, Chanel Edwards-Frederick (RENT at La Mirada), Jeff Scot Carey, Ben Boquist (SONGS FROM THE FALL), Zachariah Griffin, and more! Gregory Nabours, one of LA's most celebrated music directors, will be at the piano. ?Add in the open mic afterparty (hosted by Mark Jacobson) immediately following the show and you'll want to party like it's 2016!

Advance tickets are available at www.espotlounge.com. Doors open at 6:30pm for dinner and drinks; the show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $15 with a 2 item minimum.

The E Spot Lounge is located on the upper level of Vitello's Restaurant at 4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA. Valet and street parking are available.
