By:

Wishbone Theatre Collective is proud to present the World Premiere of FAIR, a new historical, comedy and tragedy play about the California murderess Laura D. Fair this June as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival at Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre, 5636 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90038.

Fair is the story of the notorious murderess, Laura D. Fair, who shot and killed her lover, Alexander P. Crittenden in broad daylight off the coast of San Francisco in 1871. Laura's trial was filled with scandal when the prosecution positioned themselves against any woman with power and turned the court proceedings into a widely-publicizEd Morality play. Fair, is an ensemble developed play, created over two years, that uses actual court testimony from this once famous case as well as letters between the two lovers on the brink of despair.
