WARM CHEESE to Make Los Angeles Premiere at Hollywood Fringe Festival

By:

Written and performed by Emmy award winning producer, Teresa L. Thome and directed by Stan Zimmerman, Warm Cheese is an intimate and comedic exploration of a woman wanting to no longer hate her dead mother. The night of her mother's funeral as the family all gathers, a daughter learns more about her mother than she ever expected or wanted.

The show deals with multiple themes including family dynamics and the grieving process (when you're not interested in grieving.) "In my family the only way to deal with anything difficult was through humor," Thome offers. "The only difference is that as a writer and storyteller I took my process to paper and performance."

Stan Zimmerman, an accomplished director, producer and veteran tv/film/theater writer ("The Golden Girls", "Rosanne" and "Gilmore Girls") returns to the Hollywood Fringe Festival where he presented his highly acclaimed comedy "Meet & Greet" and Last year's gripping play, "Suicide Notes: In Their Own Words" directs the show. Zimmerman adds, "Warm Cheese" is the fifth Fringe show I've directed in four years. I'm excited to bring this funny, yet emotional piece to an LA audience."

Of Thome's recent performance at LaughFest (a national comedy festival in Michigan), festival director Joanne Roehm says, "At Gilda's LaughFest, we've been thrilled with the opportunity to showcase this production. Poignancy enveloped in brilliant, touching humor."
